Samsonite is an American brand founded in Denver in 1910. In Move 5.0, its luggage background is felt in a quiet way: the backpack is not overloaded with travel details, yet it remains a clear companion for the city, work, and moving with a suitcase.
The series is built around nylon, a soft construction, and a well-thought-out pocket system. The idea here is not one large volume, but distribution: a main compartment for daily items, internal pockets for small essentials, a key holder, and several external quick-access zones.
In terms of shape, Move 5.0 behaves like a soft backpack. A rigid frame construction is not confirmed, so when empty, it does not feel like a suitcase-style structure with a fixed body. Once packed, the shape gathers more around the contents, and the final feel depends on the specific model and what is placed inside.
Inside, the logic is simple: one main compartment, pockets for smaller items, and separate elements for everyday essentials. But the whole series cannot be described in the same way. A laptop compartment is available only in some models: Backpack 14.1" and Multifunct Backpack 14.1". The tablet pocket is confirmed only for Backpack 14.1". So if the backpack is needed specifically for tech, it is better to look not just at Move 5.0 as a series, but at the exact model.
On the outside, the series works through its pockets. All verified models have front pockets and side pockets. This helps separate items you do not want to search for in the main compartment every time: keys, small accessories, a bottle in some models, and quick-access everyday items. The S and M models also have a confirmed back pocket.
For travel, the versions with a suitcase sleeve matter. This feature is not found across the entire series, but is confirmed for Backpack 14.1" and Multifunct Backpack 14.1". In this format, the backpack fits better into a trip with a suitcase, when part of the route it can sit on the luggage handle instead of staying on your shoulders all the time.
In terms of use, Move 5.0 ranges from the compact S or M city backpack to more organised models for a 14.1" laptop. The series also includes a separate anti-theft model, but it should be treated as a specific backpack, not as a feature of the entire line.
The limits of the series are clear. Ventilated back padding, padded shoulder straps, a sternum strap, a waist belt, a USB port, reinforced elements, and separate laptop protection are not confirmed. So Move 5.0 is better viewed not as a technical backpack for heavy loads or outdoor routes, but as a soft urban Samsonite series with a lightweight body, pocket-based organisation, and a choice of formats for a regular day, work, or a short trip.
