Revolutionary material for Curv suitcases®
- Samsonite has patented Curv®, developed for it by engineers from Germany. It consists of multi-layered interwoven threads of high molecular weight polypropylene, which form a strong compound during hot forming. Thanks to this structure, it looks like ordinary plastic with the appearance of fabric, which properties it has at the same time. That is, the material can be changed, moved by a car, it returns to its former form.
- At the same time, it has sufficient elasticity and rigidity to maintain its shape. Of course, you noticed that all suitcases from Curv® designers provided a three-dimensional pattern. For example, in the form of a shell, ribs, vertical or horizontal elements. It is they who help to maintain the shape elastically. And thanks to them, a large thickness of material is not required.
- Such a suitcase does not need a frame, it is self-supporting and therefore very light. In general, all elements of such luggage are super light. For example, the retractable handles are made of super strong and light aviation duralumin.
- All Samsonite suitcases with Curv® arranged in such a way that any element – wheels, handles, locks, are changed within a few minutes. This is because the mounting screws are easily visible from inside the luggage.
