Deuter Sport is a manufacturing company founded in Germany by Hans Deuter in 1898. It specializes in the production of backpacks. The distribution network covers more than 70 countries.

Since 1910, Deuter has been the official supplier of the German armed forces - it produces backpacks, food bags, holsters, tents for the army.

In 1987, Deuter, in collaboration with Austrian mountaineer Peter Gabeler, developed the Aircomfort backpack suspension design.

Since 1990, during the mass distribution of mountain bikes, Deuter has been producing backpack models designed exclusively for cycling.
