First decide where the bag should sit

Smooth, soft and fine-grained leather changes the appearance of a bum bag, but the fit has a greater effect on everyday use. For mainly waist-level carrying, look first for a suitable strap range and a body that lies along the torso. For crossbody wear, adequate strap length and convenient buckle placement matter more.
