Samsonite Glazed is a series of soft travel backpacks designed for short trips, cabin luggage and underseat placement on a plane. Its logic is not built around a regular city day, but around travel: carrying clothes, a laptop, a tablet, a bottle and personal items in one compact format.
Samsonite is an American brand founded in 1910. In Glazed, its luggage background comes through calmly and clearly: the series does not try to be an office backpack or an outdoor pack, but works as a soft underseat format for flights and short getaways.
The series is based on polyester, an outer material made from 100% recycled PET, a lining made from at least 95% recycled PET, a water-repellent coating and a soft construction. This is not a backpack with a confirmed rigid frame. The body is closer to a soft travel format: it forms around its contents, and the final shape depends on how the items are arranged inside.
At the same time, Glazed does not look like a typical shapeless backpack. The series has a rectangular silhouette, which makes it visually closer to a luggage format. Still, this should be understood as a silhouette, not as a confirmed rigid structure: when empty, the backpack should not be treated as a framed model, while once packed, it opens up through volume and internal distribution.
Inside, Glazed is not built around one simple compartment. It has a main space for belongings, a separate laptop section, a tablet pocket, a clothing compartment, a mesh pocket, a divider panel and fixing straps. This layout helps separate a travel set into zones: clothes, tech, small items and things that are better kept apart rather than mixed together.
The external elements also support the travel scenario. The front and top pockets give quick access to items you do not want to search for in the main compartment. Side pockets and bottle holders move some essentials to the outside. The suitcase sleeve lets the backpack sit on a luggage handle, while the integrated ID tag helps avoid using a separate luggage tag.
Glazed works best for short trips, flights and situations where one soft backpack can replace a small separate bag. The series includes a 40×30×20 cm format for laptops up to 15.6" and a larger 45×36×20 cm version for laptops up to 17.3", so the choice should be based not only on colour, but also on laptop size, packing volume and airline requirements.
Samsonite Glazed is a good fit for those looking for a soft travel backpack for a short trip or flight: with space for clothes, a separate tech section and external elements that genuinely make sense on the road.
