Tucano TED is a small series of urban backpacks for daily essentials, tech and short trips with a suitcase. It is not the same backpack in different sizes. The series includes two formats: the compact Ted 11" for a tablet and the larger Ted 14" for a laptop up to 14".
Tucano is an Italian brand from Milan, founded in 1985. TED clearly reflects the brand’s calm urban logic: tech should have its own place, smaller items should not get lost in the main compartment, and the backpack itself should not look more complicated than an ordinary day requires.
The series is built around recycled PET material, polyester lining, a central main compartment, a front accessories pocket and a trolley strap. This is an urban series without a hiking focus or complex business organization.
The internal layout is simple. There is a central compartment for everyday items and an internal pocket for tech. In the Ted 11", this means a tablet up to 11"; in the Ted 14", a laptop up to 14". This separation helps keep tech apart from the rest of your things, but it does not turn the backpack into a full business organizer.
The front pocket is made for small accessories you do not want to place in the main compartment. This matters in daily use, when some items need to be easier to reach than everything packed inside.
Both models have a trolley strap. It adds a travel scenario to the TED series, but does not make it a full travel line. These are more like urban backpacks for work, study, city errands or a short trip, where you may sometimes want to place the backpack over a suitcase handle.
The difference within the series is clear: from a compact model for a tablet and a light daily set to a larger backpack for a 14" laptop. The Ted 14" also has a security pocket on the back.
So TED is better chosen not only by color. The main question is what tech you plan to carry and how much space you need for the day.
Tucano TED suits those who need an urban backpack with simple organization, a separate place for tech and the option to use it together with a suitcase. Ted 11" makes more sense for a tablet and a light everyday carry, while Ted 14" is better for a laptop up to 14" and a slightly fuller city day.
