Victorinox is a Swiss brand founded in 1884. The series uses dense fabric and includes a signature element - a small multi-tool integrated into the design.
Everything is built around dense polyester. The fabric keeps a clean, structured look, but the shape itself isn’t defined as rigid. When empty, the backpack doesn’t hold a fixed form; when filled, it adapts to the contents without turning into a hard shell.
In use, it follows a simple pattern: open, take, close. The laptop can be accessed separately - through a rear section or a dedicated zone - without opening the main compartment. This becomes especially noticeable when the backpack is packed, as there’s no need to go through everything inside.
Inside, it doesn’t feel like one large empty space. Pockets and sections separate items: small things don’t collect at the bottom, accessories stay in place, and you can reach them without searching. At the same time, the structure remains simple - there’s no need to memorize where things go.
The laptop setup is handled at the placement level. In some models, it’s a separate externally accessible section. At the same time, protection isn’t built into a dedicated structure - it’s about placement rather than a fully isolated protective zone.
There are side pockets for bottles, and some models include a luggage sleeve. The loading style changes depending on the version: rolltop or flap-top designs define how the backpack opens and closes.
The series isn’t built around technical features. There’s no emphasis on back ventilation, anatomical support systems, or anti-theft solutions - these elements are not highlighted as part of the construction.
Altmont Classic works if you need a calm, everyday city backpack with clear organization and no complex system. It’s not designed for scenarios where rigid structure, enhanced device protection, or additional security features are a priority.
